Do you know them? Discover them!

1. Choose a bad breakfast

Breakfast is one of the most important morning habits

Eat breakfast if you want, and if you don’t want to, nothing happens. Eating breakfast is not an obligation. But if you go to breakfast, choose nutritious foods that contribute to your daily needs.

Some good breakfast options would be:

  • Fresh fruit
  • Scrambled eggs
  • Yogurt with red fruits and nuts
  • Whole wheat toast with extra virgin olive oil
  • Tomato and avocado
  • Coffee or tea.

2. Eat many times but little

What makes you lose or gain weight is nothing more than the balance of calories consumed and burned, nothing more. Your metabolism doesn’t slow down from not eating for 2-3 hours, so you don’t have to eat so often.

If you eat many times, in order not to ingest too many calories during the day, the amount that should be eaten each time would be very small. As a result, we may not be satisfied and, despite eating very often, we may still be hungry.

Eating two or three meals a day that keep us satisfied and provide us with the necessary energy and nutrients is a good option.

At the end of the day we have to cover caloric and nutrient needs. The important thing is to choose quality fonts.

3. Eat industrial snacks

Eliminating snacks from our morning habits is a good step to start losing weight.

The snacks industry have invaded the market with the excuse of being a “healthy” snack to calm the hunger that usually appears at midmorning.

While some options are fine, most contain added chemicals, sugar, and other unhealthy ingredients. If we take a few minutes to look at the nutritional table we can realize that they contain a lot of calories and fat.

It is much better option to eat some sticks of raw vegetables, fruit, nuts, some fresh cheese, yogurt or homemade hummus.

4. Sleeping too much

A study published in 2014 suggested that people who sleep 10 or more hours a day have a greater tendency to suffer an increase in their body mass index.

While sleeping less than 6 or 7 hours is not good either, sleeping too much could be the reason your body has a hard time shedding fat.

5. To hydrate little

Drinking little water is one of the morning habits that prevents us from losing weight

The human body is water in its highest percentage, so drinking water is key. Drink little water, or even not drink it,

Water is responsible for transporting nutrients, hormones and regulating body temperature. Drinking little water  slows down the body’s processes that are responsible for eliminating toxins and burning fat. In the long term, it could even affect our mental performance.

  • It is advisable to start the day with the consumption of a glass of warm water, preferably with lemon.
  • You can also opt for an infusion of plants or water with honey.

Try to correct the mistakes you are making and take advantage of the morning to give your metabolic functions a boost.
